Artist Bio
Lucas Fournier is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer currently based in Montreal.
Fournier’s mission is to capture the indescribable feeling that only music can convey. He believes music has the power to make people realize things about themselves that they have never known before, and experience entirely new emotions. Fournier attempts to achieve this through his unique musical style, combining singer-songwriter and indie folk roots with modern production and an often dark and subversive harmonic language which highlights his lush, layered vocals.
Fournier’s music has a range of influences, including Bon Iver, Radiohead, David Bowie, Adrianne Lenker, Perfume Genius, Novo Amor, and many more. To date, he has released a full length album called Many Waters, and an EP called Who Are We. He is currently releasing singles building towards his 3rd EP, set for release in August 2023. These new songs are similar to his old ones in some ways, but with a new breath of fresh air in the production: lush but raw, electronic but intimate, often muted but sometimes exploding into a cathartic swell.
